How to Lip Sync Group Task - Thurs 14.3.19

Unit 2 – Group piece                Thurs 14th March 2019

As a group of 3 or 4.
Group A,B,C,D – decide which group you are.

Steps
1. Find a song that has lots of lyrics in it.
A. Try to avoid ones with long guitar solos or instrumental sections.
B. Note down who is in your group.
C. Make a mind map each of all the songs you like and then discuss the ones you all like. Colour code if it is easier.

2. Learn that song.
If the singer has an easily understood voice listen to what/ how they're saying things.
A. Each of you learn the words so you can mouth them correctly. Print out lyrics so its easier on the back computer.
B. On lyric sheet write down who is lipsyncing/ singing those words.

3. Watch how people talk.
Pay attention to how people with different accents move their lips differently to yours. Imagine yourself saying what someone else is on TV. Practice this for a while.

4 .Set up your video camera/ phone camera after making yourself look pretty, listen to the song on headphones.
A. By now you should know when the entrances of lyrics are. Merely try to match your lips to the song while you're filming; that's all it is.
If it helps, in your head go over the lyrics, and pretend your singing it by mouthing the words. Each person in your group must have a set of lyrics to sing.

5. Upload the video onto your media editor: Sony Vegas, iMovie, Movie maker,  Adobe premiere. Pop it in the Y12 media folder in group A,B,C,D. (Decide which one

6. Import and Sync the song to your film.
Make sure your audio from the video is off and only the music can be heard.

7. Edit your video to your pleasure, adding effects in tune to give your video some action. This will be developing on from Mr Dougans work – use your skills.

8. Save and then Export your song. MP4. MP3..mov
Show to your audience – peer group and do Q&A
